Women's Soccer Loses to No. 11 Johns Hopkins
- The 11th ranked Johns Hopkins women's soccer team defeated Frostburg State 5-0, on Wednesday night.
Frostburg State fell to 1-5 as the Blue Jays improved to 5-1 on the season.
Molly Steele had a break-away from 30-yards out mid-way through the first half and punched it home for the first goal of the game. Steele connected for her second goal of the game seven minutes into the second half, this time off a crossing pass from sophomore Francesca Perretti.
The Blue Jays then scored in the 61st minute, connecting off a rebound, making it 3-0 in favor of the hosts.
Hopkins netted its fourth goal in the 78th minute and connected for its final goal in the 89th minute.
Junior Molly White (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) made four saves for the Bobcats while suffering the loss.
Frostburg State returns to action on Saturday, September 23rd traveling to Lake Erie in a Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference contest at 1:00 pm.
