- Frostburg State women’s soccer (6-5-4, 3-1) team traveled to Lake Erie College (0-14, 0-4) for a big AMCC match-up and dominated with an 8-0 victory. Lead by sophomore Erika Neuser’s (Fallston/Forest Hill, Md.)
three goals the dominated the net out shooting Lake Erie 25-0.
Neuser’s three goals bring her season total to seven and she was also able to add an assist on the day as she found sophomore Becky Rambo (Hereford/Freeland, Md.) in the first half, as Rambo scored the first of her two goals on the day.
Other contributions for the Bobcats came from freshman Erin Carraghan (Walkersville/Walkersville, Md.) who had a goal and an assist, junior Karen Kotofski (Northeast/Glen Burnie, Md.) who added a goal her 12th of the season, and freshman Michaela Karinshak (Loudoun County/Leesburg, Va.) also posted a goal late in the second half for her first goal of her young career.
Junior Stephanie Zych (Guilderland/Slingerlands, N.Y.) posted her fourth shutout of the season and 14th of her career (extending the Bobcat career record). The win is also her 28th of her career, which is one shy of the career FSU record of 29 wins.
Frostburg State will next travel to Pitt-Greensburg on Wednesday October 16, 2002 to play at 4:00 p.m.
