Women's Tennis Drops Match to Juniata

FROSTBURG, Md. — The Frostburg State women’s tennis had just one singles and one doubles win in a 7-2 loss to Juniata, Monday afternoon, at the Cordts Tennis Complex.

Juniors Sarah Eisel (Frostburg, Md./Beall) and Jenn Tolbert (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) took care of business in No. 2 doubles, defeating Amanda Fontana and Ariel Otruba, 8-6.

In singles action, junior Heather Potosnak (Easton, Md./Montville Township (NJ)) earned the win after beating Fontana in the No.1 spot, 6-3, 6-3. Eisel suffered a tough loss in No. 2 singles, falling to Caroline Weisser, 6-2, 2-6, 7-6.

Frostburg State returns to action on Wednesday when it travels to Shenandoah at 4:00 pm.
