Call Back
FSU’s call-back policy applies to nonexempt employees
only. The following guidelines apply:
- Eligibility – nonexempt employees
who are required to return to work on a regularly scheduled duty day
after going off duty, or are required to work on a regularly scheduled
day off. Applies whether or not employee is also on on-call status.
- Compensation – Employee is
credited with a minimum of two hours compensation at the appropriate
rate.
- Travel time counts as time worked and counts toward
overtime.
- If an employee is called-back on a qualifying
shift, the employee receives shift differential.
- Pre-scheduled over-time or an extension of the
regular work day does not constitute a call-back situation.
