ASSISTANT ATHLETIC TRAINER

Athletic Department seeks applications for a full-time Assistant Athletic Trainer, available August 2009. Position includes USM benefits package.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the Head Athletic Trainer in providing and supervising the medical care of the students/athletes under the direction of the team physician. Provide assistance to the Head Athletic Trainer in administrative duties as assigned and provide supervision over the athletic training room operations and services in the absence of the Head and Associate Athletic Trainers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree and NATABOC certification. One year of related work experience.

OTHER: Any combination of training and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in a related field and progressively responsible related work experience may be considered.

Frostburg State University is located in the Appalachian highlands (elevation 2,000 feet) of western Maryland. Approximately 2100 students reside on campus in 11 traditional halls and one apartment-style community. The main campus covers 260 acres within the town limits of Frostburg (population 7,500). The University also offers courses at the University System of Maryland at Hagerstown and on the Catonsville Campus of the Community College of Baltimore County.
