LECTURER OF NURSING (2 Positions)

Two full-time contractual Lecturer of Nursing positions for its newly established RN to BSN Nursing Program. For more information on this program, visit our web site.

Minimum qualifications for both positions: Licensure as an RN in Maryland and a BSN. The successful applicant will display evidence of a high level of enthusiasm for the profession of nursing, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong commitment to higher education for nurses.

Position 1 Responsibilities: Teach nursing and other health related courses, promote nursing programs, and recruit and advise students. Preference will be given to individuals who are graduates of an RN to BSN program and have experience working with nursing students as a preceptor or clinical instructor.

Position 2 Responsibilities: Teaching nursing and other health related courses. Preference will be given to individuals with a doctorate in a related field and teaching experience, especially in an online or blended format.

Frostburg State University is located in the Appalachian highlands (elevation 2,000 feet) of western Maryland. Approximately 2100 students reside on campus in 11 traditional halls and one apartment-style community. The main campus covers 260 acres within the town limits of Frostburg (population 7,500). The University also offers courses at the University System of Maryland at Hagerstown and on the Catonsville Campus of the Community College of Baltimore County.

The local region is rich in both history and outdoor activities. Students can visit nearby recreational areas-Rocky Gap, New Germany, and Deep Creek Lake State Parks-which offer camping, boating, swimming, hiking, and skiing. For more information, visit the FSU web site.
