Pop-soul singer Chinua Hawk will appear at Frostburg State University on Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 8 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center Drama Theatre.
Sponsored by FSU's Campus Activities Board, this performance is free and open to the public.
Chinua is Nigerian for "God's Own Blessing." The name Hawk reflects the singer's Native American heritage. Combining these influences with those of Whitney Houston, Donny Hathaway and Stevie Wonder, Hawk uses his powerful voice to convey lyrics with universal appeal. He has recorded a CD, "First Love," and is now engaged in a national college tour.
