Maryland artists Tim and Leah Bell will exhibit "Landscapes in the Impressionistic Style" from Friday, March 14 through Monday, April 7, in the Frostburg State University Stephanie Ann Roper Gallery. This exhibit is part of Stirrings, a collaborative project linking artists in the diverse media of literature, dance, art and music in a celebration of the environment.
An opening reception, which is free and open to the public, will be held on Tuesday, April 1, at 7 p.m. in the Gallery, located in the Fine Arts Building. Regular Gallery hours are Sunday through Wednesday from 1 to 4 p.m.
Tim Bell, an FSU graduate, will return to campus with his wife Leah and 35 of their paintings on canvas. Inspired by beaches, waterways and hillsides, Tim's works recreate a variety of light effects and weather conditions. Leah's portraits capture the beauty of light and color in the spirit of Impressionistic collections in the United States, Italy and Great Britain.
