The Reggie Wayne Morris Blues Trio will perform Live at the Loft! at Frostburg State University on Wednesday, April 23, at 8 p.m. in the Lane University Center. Sponsored by FSU's Center Stage, this event is free and open to the public.
This Baltimore trio is a favorite on the Mid-Atlantic club circuit and has been a featured performer at the Baltimore Blues Festival for several years. Morris, having spent much of his childhood near his grandparents' farm near Charlottesville, Va., grew up steeped in gospel from the nearby Southern Baptist Church and blues from family musicians. Over the years, he has developed an upbeat style that pays homage to the blues tradition while including modern themes, reflected in tunes like "Virus Blues," a song about the phenomenon of cyber love.
