"Ten Seconds Can Change Your Life Forever" is the message brought by Bobby Petrocelli, who will speak at Frostburg State University Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 7 p.m. in the Alice R. Manicur Assembly Hall in Lane University Center.
Petrocelli shares his personal and true story about how his life was turned upside down in one night. Bobby went to bed a happy, fulfilled man, but woke up dazed and injured sitting in his dining room window staring up at a pickup truck. The truck, driven by a man whose blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit, crashed through the wall of his bedroom traveling over 70 mph. His wife was dead and his life was changed forever.
The Brooklyn, N.Y., native is one of the most sought-after speakers in the country with his message that 10 seconds is all it takes to change a life forever. He is making his eighth trip to FSU. A former teacher and coach, he uses his high energy to empower and motivate all ages and walks of life with his humor and message.
Petrocelli's presentation is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by Western Maryland Regional Safe Communities Center and BURG Peer Education Network. For more information, contact Jennifer Drees at (301) 687-7962.
