The Tri-State Honor Band will perform Saturday, Dec. 6, at 7:30 p.m. in the Frostburg State University Performing Arts Center's Pealer Recital Hall.
Sponsored by the FSU Department of Music, the Tri-State Honor Band is made up of 160 students representing 25 high schools from Maryland, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Virginia. Students are recommended for honor band by their high school band directors, then band members are selected from that number. Some 230 students applied for this year's honor band.
George Parks, director of band at the University of Massachusetts, will be the guest director.
