Michele Strong, a Frostburg State University senior, has received the Maryland Society of Accountants Scholarship Award for the spring semester of 2004.
Strong is an accounting major at FSU, and one out of the 34 students to receive the award on this past January. She is from Baltimore, where she attended Western High School.
“I am very thankful for the Maryland Society of Accountants Award,” she says. The scholarship is available for her to use during the spring semester of 2004. Strong is the daughter of Yvette Barnes.
MSA provides scholarships to Maryland Residents enrolled in an accredited Maryland University, College or Community College. The students major must be accounting, taking at least a minimum of six credits. A GPA of 3.0 is also required in the major and overall. In addition, Accounting Principles I and II must be completed.
