Hope Cober has been named the new coordinator of Frostburg State University’s Read To Succeed/ Mathletics tutoring program.
Cober is a 2003 honor graduate from Washington and Jefferson College. At W&J, she majored in English with a minor in history. While attending college, Cober was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, as well as into both the English and History Honorary Societies. Her experience includes working for Hobby House Press in Grantsville, Md., and The New Republic newspaper in Meyersdale, Pa., where she currently resides.
“I look forward to the upcoming semester of tutoring and am eager to meet everyone involved in the program,” she says.
The Read to Succeed/ Mathletics program involves one-on-one tutoring for children after school. FSU students are paired with individual children to assist them in reading assignments and math homework. Students are welcomed to participate, and parents are encouraged to bring their children.
Cober’s office is located on the first floor in the Braddock House at FSU. She can be reached at (301) 687-7615 or by e-mail at hcober@frostburg.edu.
