The Activities for Life Center at Frostburg State University will offer a golf clinic on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. from May 11 to June 3 at Maplehurst Country Club in Frostburg.
Golf pro Rick Flowers will offer eight one-hour clinics over the four-week period. Clinics will include group and individual instruction. Sessions will focus on the golf swing, putting, chipping, rules and etiquette, etc. Beginner and intermediate golfers will benefit most from these classes. A full set of golf clubs is preferable, but a 7-iron, wedge, putter and wood will be adequate. Sneakers will be sufficient; golf shoes would provide the most benefit. The class is limited to 12 participants. Registration and fees must be paid no later than May 5.
