The Activities for Life Center at Frostburg State University, in conjunction with the Western Potomac Chapter of the American Red Cross will be offering a Lifeguard Certification Class starting Friday, May 14.
The class, instructed by Dr. Troy Strieby, will be held at the FSU Cordts Physical Education Center Pool. The class will meet Friday, May 14, from 4 to 9 p.m.; Saturday, May 15, from 8 a.m. to noon, 1 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m.; Sunday, May 16, from 8 a.m. to noon, 1 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m.; and Monday, May 17, from 6 to 9 p.m.
Lifeguard students must have strong swimming skills and must be able to attend all class and pool times. Refunds will not be given after the start of the course. The class is limited to 20 participants Registration deadline is Monday, May 10.
