Directed by Chris Coy, “This is Our Youth” takes place in 1982 at the dawn of the Reagan era, and follows the coming of age story of two New York teens, Warren (played by Louis Joe) and Dennis (played by Craig Lawrence), whose lives are dominated by drugs and violence. After Warren impulsively steals fifteen thousand dollars from his lingerie tycoon father, he runs to his charismatic drug-dealing friend Dennis, which starts a slew of troubles as the young men devise ways to spend and repay the money. Everything changes though when Warren meets Jessica (played by Michelle Mangan), a mix-up-prep-school girl who arrives for a date and causes Warren to contemplate what has become of his life. In the end, Warren must decide whether he will follow Dennis into a downward spiral or discover a way out.
