Frostburg State University and St. Patrick’s Catholic Church will present an organ recital on Tuesday, May 4, at 7 p.m. at St. Patrick’s on N. Centre Street, Cumberland.
Organists Nathan Berry and Jesse Topper will present a varied program of literature by Johann Pachelbel, J.S. Bach, George Handel, Felix Mendelssohn, Charles-Marie Widor, Emma Lou Diemer and Scott Joplin.
Nathan Berry is an FSU senior and will graduate in May with a major in English and a minor in music. This organ concert is the culmination of his Senior Honors Thesis in organ building and literature. He plans to enroll in law school in the fall.
Jesse Topper is the director of music at Bedford United Methodist Church in Bedford, Pa. He frequently performs throughout the region. Topper is music major at FSU and keyboardist for the FSU Jazz Band.
