The Philosophy Department at Frostburg State University will present "Prospects for the Earth: Three Environmental Problems," the first Philosophical Forum of the new semester, on Tuesday, Sept. 21, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the Atkinson Room, Lane University Center 201.
Three participants will make short presentations and the audience will be invited to interact with the participants in a follow-up discussion moderated by Dr. Joy Kroeger-Mappes from the Department of Philosophy.
Dr. Danny Welsch, Department of Geography, will discuss "The Problem of Global Warming." Dr. Rich Raesly from the Department of Biology will discuss "The Problem of Species Extinction." Dr. Skott Brill from the Department of Philosophy will discuss "The Problem of Land Utilization."
