The Frostburg State University Computer-Based Testing Center allows students to complete Educational Testing Service-based computerized exams on campus. The Center provides a valuable service to community members and students who are required to complete an ETS-sponsored test for teacher education, professional certification and graduate school admission.
The CBT offers Praxis I (Math, Reading, Writing), GRE, GMAT, TOEFL and other professional exams. It does not offer the SAT exam. The Center is located in Pullen Hall room 105-A. The hours of operation are Monday and Friday from 8 a.m. to noon and Tuesday and Thursday from 1 to 5 p.m. Examinees may register by calling the Center at 301-687-7990 during operating hours or any time at the registration number for each test. The numbers are:
• PRAXIS I, 1-800-853-6773
• GRE, 1-800-473-2255
• GMAT, 1-800-462-8669
• TOEFL, 1-800-468-6335
The FSU Testing Center staff has administered 524 exams since the CBT opened last October. The Center offers students the opportunity to test locally rather than traveling to the Morgantown or Baltimore areas. The Center is one of only two CBT campus-based centers in Maryland.
