Frostburg State University’s Center Stage program presents Chicago-based rapper Lavish Mikell on Thursday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m. at the Lane University Center Loft.
Leslie Stewart, otherwise known as Lavish Mikell, is a talented rapper, songwriter and producer in the hip-hop industry. Mikell’s love for music stems from his father, Butch Stewart, founder of Copia Records. Mikell’s style of rapping is more influenced by pop than any other form of music and also incorporates his attitudes towards the hip-hop culture he surrounds himself in. Recently, he finished his first solo album with Copia Records and has written and produced songs for many other hip-hop and R&B artists in the Chicago area.
