Frostburg State University Theatre presents the musical comedy “Damn Yankees” on Oct. 8, 9, 14, 15 and 16 at 8 p.m. and on Oct. 9 and 16 at 2 p.m. in the FSU Drama Theatre.
This musical, based on a novel by Douglass Wallop, details the Washington Senators Baseball Team’s #1 fan, Joe, and his attempt to make a deal with the devil in order to finally beat the New York Yankees for the pennant. Joe sells his soul to the devil in exchange for becoming a phenomenal rookie baseball player. When it looks like the Senators have a chance against the Yankees, the devil decides to throw Joe and the Senators a curve ball. The devil introduces Lola to the plan and stirs up commotion between Joe, his wife and the Washington Senators Baseball team.
The cost is $5 for FSU students and $10 for the general public. The tickets are free for those who purchase a University Theatre Season Discount Card.
