Frostburg State University’s Black Student Alliance will present motivational speaker Andres Lara, on Wednesday, Oct. 27, at 7 p.m. in the Lane University Center Alice R. Manicur Assembly Hall.
Lara, also known as “The Cuban Guy,” will be offering messages from his own life experiences. At 16 years old, Lara escaped Cuba to come to the United States. He had no money and was unable to speak English. By the age of 24, he became a nationally known speaker, the president of “Inspiration Time Magazine,” authored many books and was CEO of his company “A. Success Training, Inc.”
Lara will be presenting his motivational workshop titled “How to Move Forward When You Feel Like Quitting: Becoming Unstoppable.” Following the workshop, there will be a book signing. Copies of Lara’s book will also be given as door prizes and copies of his e-magazine and an e-copy of “Inspire the Sleeping Giant Within” will be available for everyone in attendance.
