The Frostburg State University Center for Creative Writing is sponsoring its first “Literature Comes Alive” event, which will feature readings of works by Edgar Allen Poe. The readings will be held on Sunday, Oct. 31, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at City Place, 14 S. Water Street, Frostburg.
Those reading Poe’s works consist of FSU faculty, students and Frostburg community members. This will be the first of many “Literature Comes Alive” events that the FSU Creative Writing Center will sponsor. The Center plans on holding readings for other special occasions such as during Christmas, Valentine’s Day and the opening day of baseball in the spring.
This event is free and open to the public. For more information or to sign up to read a particular Poe work, contact the Frostburg Center for Creative Writing at 301-687-4024 or e-mail at nightsun@frostburg.edu.
