Frostburg State’s University Theatre presents the award-winning play “The Trestle at Pope Lick Creek” on Nov. 12, 13, 18, 19 and 20 at 8 p.m. and on Nov. 13 at 2 p.m.
This play, set at the height of the great depression, focuses on two teenagers who plan a game of “chicken” with an oncoming train. The setting is high on a trestle above a dry creek bed. When the game began it created a rush of excitement for the teenagers, but soon it awakened their other dangerous passions. The play depicts how economic depression can contaminate lives and is recommended for mature audiences.
