Frostburg State University’s National Broadcasting Society will sponsor a career panel discussion on Tuesday, Nov. 30, from 7 to 10 p.m. in the Compton Science Center, room 226.
The panel discussion will include participants from a wide range of mass communication fields. There will be representatives from Cumberland-Times News, National Public Radio, WROG-FM, WQZK-FM, WCBC-AM, WKGO-FM, WFWM-FM, NBC-25, Fox 5 in Washington, D.C., AAD Inc.- a Public Relations/Advertising Firm, McClarran and Williams- also a Public Relations/Advertising Firm and possibly the Discovery Channel.
The representatives will discuss issues related to their specific areas of expertise and issues concerning their organizations. A question and answer period will be provided toward the end of the presentations. After the event, there will be an informal “meet and greet” gathering where students can talk with the representatives and offer their résumés.
This event if open to all students. Area high schools have also been invited to the discussion through contact with high school guidance counselors.
