Drummer Alison Miller’s exciting show, “BOOM TIC BOOM,” comes to the Rocky Gap Lodge and Resort as a part of the Frostburg State University CES Jazz Club sponsored by Kauffman Music. The show will be held on Saturday, Feb. 5, at 8 p.m. in the Cumberland Ballroom at Rocky Gap Lodge and Resort.
Miller is one of the most talented young drummers on today’s scene. She began playing the drums at the age of 10. After graduating from West Virginia University with multiple honors, she began her career in New York City as a free-lance musician. She has performed and recorded around the world with such artists as Natalie Merchant, Kevin Mahogany, Al Grey, Leon Parker and the band Betty. She has also toured East Africa as part of the 1999-2000 Kennedy Center-USIA Jazz Ambassadors Program.
