Frostburg State University’s Spring 2005 International Film Series begins with the German film “The Princess and the Warrior” on Tuesday, Feb. 8, at 7 p.m. in the Lane University Center’s Atkinson Room 201. The series is sponsored by FSU Center Stage.
“The Princess and the Warrior” is a mystical modern-day romance. Frankie Potente star as “Sissi,” a mental hospital nurse leading an insolated life until fate puts her on a collision course with a handsome but troubled thief. This mystical movie represents a deeply felt testament to the power of love, which can lift a lonely nurse and a petty crook to the mythic stature of a princess and a warrior.
Other films scheduled for the spring semester include “L’Auberge Espangole” on March 15, “Don’t Tempt Me” on April 22 and “Blue Spring” on May 10. All film showings are free and open to the public. For information, contact the Lane University Center Information Desk at 301-687-4411.
