Frostburg State University's Center Stage “Live! at the Loft” series presents folk/pop singer Kate Klim on Wednesday, May 4, at 7 p.m. in the Lane University Center Loft.
Klim sharpened her skills as a writer and performer and became involved with artists like Chris O’Brien, Julie Rosenthal and Bridget Matros. She was asked to share her original music with seasoned artist Beth Nielson Chapman in a songwriting master class, and her song “Heaven Help Me” led off the 2003 “Best of Boston” singer-songwriter compilation CD, accompanied by such notable up-and-comers as Jake Armerding, Meg Hutchinson and Rachel McCartney. She has appeared in the Club Passion “New Faces” show, opened for folk-icon Mary McAslin and performed as an invited guest of the Pushstars. Her self-released album, “Heaven Help Me,” has received airplay on Boston’s WERS, WMFO and Creative Radio’s Internet folk show, among other stations.
This event is free and open to the public.
