The Frostburg State University Activities for Life Center will offer a Beginning Ballet Class for children ages 7 to 11 on Tuesdays from 4:45 to 6 p.m. in the Cordts PE Center Dance Studio. The class, taught by Desiree Witt, will begin on Oct. 18 and will conclude on Dec. 6. There will be no class on Nov. 22.
Rudimentary skills of basic ballet including positions, balance, aplomb and basic steps will be taught. Dancers will be required to wear a black leotard, pink tights and ballet slippers. Hair must be secured off the neck and floppy jewelry is not permitted.
