Frostburg State University’s Department of English and the Center for Creative Writing will present a reading by award-winning author Charles Baxter on Monday, Oct. 10, in the Lane University Center room 142 at 7:30 p.m.
Baxter is the author of four novels -- “Saul and Pasty,” the critically acclaimed “Feast of Love,” “Shadow Play” and “First Light.” He is also the author of many story collections including “Through the Safety Net,” “Harmony of the World,” “A Relative Stranger” and “Believers.” Baxter has won many awards for his fiction including grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Guggenheim Foundation. Currently, he teaches in the MFA Creative Writing Program at the University of Minnesota.
