International Film Series Presents “Les Choristes”
Release Date: 09/26/2005

Frostburg State University’s International Film Series continues with “Les Choristes,” on Tuesday, Oct. 11, in the Lane University Center room 201 at 7 p.m. The series is sponsored by the FSU Center Stage.

“Les Choristes” follows an unemployed music teacher named Mathieu who is hired to supervise children in a school for juvenile delinquents. The educational system is particularly repressive, but it does not effectively impose discipline on the students. Mathieu is too much of a coward to stand up for the cruel practices, but is able to transform the lives of the children by teaching them the magic of choir singing and music.
