Brandon Shaffer, FSU Student, to Perform Senior Percussion Recital

Frostburg State University senior percussionist Brandon Shaffer will perform his senior recital on Sunday, Oct. 16, at 3 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center Pealer Recital Hall. Betty Jane Phillips will accompany Shaffer on piano.

Shaffer, a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia fraternity and president of the Collegiate Percussive Arts Society, honed his craft under FSU instructor Dr. Ronald Horner. He intends to graduate in December 2005 with a B.S. in liberal arts music performance (Percussion.) Shaffer will be performing works by Ney Rosauro, Elliott Carter and Bruce Hamilton.
