The Cultural Events Series and University Programming Council at Frostburg State University present legendary rockers 38 Special and Eddie Money during FSU’s Homecoming Weekend, Saturday, Oct. 22, at 9 pm in the Cordts Center Main Arena. This is event is sponsored by Billy Bender Chevrolet and presented in partnership with the FSU Alumni Association.
38 Special is a pump-up-the-volume southern rock back led by guitarist/singer/songwriters Donnie Van Zandt and Don Barnes. This fan-favorite group has had a number of hit records throughout the years including “Rockin’ Into The Night,” “Hold On Loosely,” “Fantasy Girl,” “If I’d Been The One,” “Back Where You Belong,” “Like No Other Night” and “Chain Lightnin’.” Since the 1980’s, 38 Special has headlined all over the world and achieved one gold and four platinum records.
Rock icon Eddie Money has been in the music business for 25 years and performs over 150 concerts a year and has recorded over a dozen albums. The accomplished musician, singer, songwriter, saxophonist, drummer and harmonica player has produced the hits including “Two Tickets to Paradise,” “Baby Hold On,” “Walk on Water,” “I Think I’m In Love” and Shakin’.”
