Opposing points of view on the war in Iraq will be presented at a public forum at Frostburg State University on Monday, Oct. 24, at 7:30 p.m. in Lane University Center room 201.
Presentations in support of American involvement in Iraq will be made by Stephen Hartlaub of the Political Science Department at FSU and by Evan Offstein, FSU Department of Management. Speaking against the war will be Kenneth Braitman, former FSU microcomputer liaison and by Craig Etchison, professor of English at Allegany College of Maryland.
Presenters will make a brief statement in support of their position, after which each side will be given a chance for rebuttal. Questions from the floor will then be invited from members of the audience. Rev. Larry Neumark, head of the FSU United Campus Ministry, will moderate the event.
This event is being sponsored by the History and Political Science Departments at FSU, Catholic Campus Ministry and United Campus Ministry. The event is free and the public is encouraged to participate.
