FSU Presents Readings From Controversial Books
Release Date: 10/13/2005

Sigma Tau Delta, the English Honors Society, and the Department of English at Frostburg State University will present an evening of readings from books deemed controversial enough to be banned or challenged. The reading will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday Oct. 26, in the Lane University Center room 140-41.

This event is held in conjunction with the American Library Association’s annual Banned Books Week: Celebrating the Freedom to Read. This yearly commemoration, as the American Library Association notes, “reminds Americans not to take this precious democratic freedom for granted.”

For further information, contact Dr. Mary Anne Lutz at the FSU department of English at 301-687-4237 or mlutz@frostburg.edu.

FSU is committed to making all of its programs, services and activities accessible to persons with disabilities. You may request accommodations through ADA Compliance Office at 301-687-4102, TDD 301-687-7955.
