Social Work Student Interns Partner With Area Agencies

Five Frostburg State University Social Work students are presently interning with area human service organizations.

Students include: Sarah Fairley and Jessica Keiper, who will be working with the Allegany County Department of Social Services, Family Preservation Services under the supervision of Karen Crosby and Susan Lahman; Lindsay Reep, working with Pressley Ridge under the supervision of Debbie Ambrose; Ashley Smith, working with Human Resources Development Commission (HRDC) under the supervision of Melissa McKee; and Monica Winder, working with Western Maryland Health System under the supervision of Kori Fazenbaker.

Undergraduate social work students complete a full-time internship the last semester of their senior year. The experience serves as a capstone in which students integrate their academic studies with practical experience in social work.
