The University Programming Council at Frostburg State University will present Comedy Night featuring Ty Barnett and Alysia Wood on Saturday, Nov. 12, at 8 p.m. in the Lane University Center’s Alice R. Manicur Assembly Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
Alysia Wood is one the bright new faces to come out of the strong Seattle comedy scene. The Louisiana native has settled in Los Angeles, quickly becoming a regular at the Hollywood Improv and other Southern California comedy hotspots. Wood has opened for Bill Bellamy, Bobby Collins, Bobcat Goldthwait, Ralphie May, Kevin Nealon, Christopher Titus and Doug Stanhope.
Ty Barnett has become one of the most successful young comics nationwide. Reaching out to audiences of all varieties, Barnett has gained a reputation for being able to put a humorous spin on just about any facet of life in America, earning opportunities to work with performers ranging from Damon Wayans to Lewis Black.
