Frostburg State University will present an information meeting for prospective applicants for its Master of Arts in Teaching programs, elementary, secondary and K-12 education, on Thursday, Feb. 23, and Monday, March 6, at 6:30 p.m. at the University of Maryland-Hagerstown at 32 W. Washington St.
Secondary, K-12 Program Coordinator Dr. William Childs and Elementary Program Coordinator Dr. Kim Rotruck will speak to prospective applicants for the group beginning studies in summer 2006. The MAT–Secondary, K-12 is offered at FSU’s Frostburg campus and at USM-H. The deadline for summer 2006 cohort applications is April 1. The MAT-Elementary is offered at USM-H; application deadline is May 1.
Students must successfully complete Praxis I for admission to program (see www.ets.org for more information on the Praxis I or call the FSU ETS Computer Based Testing Center at x7990). The Summer 2006 applicant admissions interviews will be scheduled in mid-March.
