The Frostburg State University Presidential Search Committee, appointed by University System of Maryland Chancellor William “Brit” Kirwan, has identified four candidates for on-campus interviews starting next week and concluding on March 15.
During their visits, candidates will participate in the following open meetings for targeted campus groups:
11 a.m. – noon (Staff)
2 p.m. – 3 p.m. (Students)
4 p.m. – 5 p.m. (Faculty)
6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. (Public reception in the Lane University Center Loft.)

The national search for the next FSU president generated 110 applicants since the position was advertised this past fall. FSU President Dr. Catherine R. Gira will retire on June 30, 2006, after a 15-year tenure at Frostburg. Plans are for the new president to start on July 1, 2006.
The chair of the search committee is Thomas Bowling, Associate Vice President for Student and Educational Services at FSU.
