FSU Social Work Student Interns Partner with Area Agencies

Twelve undergraduates studying social work at Frostburg State University are presently interning with local human services organizations.

The students include: Kristen Carns, Resource Development Commission (HRDC), Office on Aging, under the supervision of Melissa McKee; Lindsay McGlothlin, Archway Station, under Jackie Morrissey; Maggie Smith, HRDC, Adult Medical Day Care, under the supervision Tammy Lawson; Abena Adoko, Salem Children’s Trust, under the supervision of Theresa Marth; Tiffany Needy, Thomas B. Finan Center, under the supervision of Carolyn Clawson-Andrews and Marylou Mosby; Michelle Postek and Terra Raiten, both at Pressley Ridge/Pryde, under the supervision of Keisha Miller; Michael Benaderet, Jefferson School, under the supervision Robert Godfrey; Brooke Munson, YMCA Family Center, under the supervision Roberta Bisignano; Natalie Albright, Western Maryland Health System, under the supervision of Kori Fazenbaker; Sigourney Frazier, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, under the supervision of Stacie Lowman; and Wesley Kline, Western Correctional Institution, under the supervision of Bill Taylor.

ndergraduate social work students at FSU complete a full-time internship during the last semester of their senior year. The program provides a capstone in which students integrate their academic studies with practical experience in social work.
