Frostburg State University Cultural Events Mainstage Series presents the Aquila Theatre Company of London in William Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” on Tuesday, March 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the Drama Theatre of the FSU Performing Arts Center.
William Shakespeare’s classic tragedy “Hamlet” was written in 1602 and is often considered his greatest play. A compelling tale of familial discord, personal ambition, love and revenge, “Hamlet” has enthralled audiences for over 400 years. Directed by Robert Richmond and featuring the Company’s finest actors, Aquila’s “Hamlet” seeks to shed new light on this important play, making it exciting, innovative and accessible to 21st century audiences.

At 6:30 p.m., a 30-minute pre-performance discussion by members of the Aquila Theatre Company will precede the main performance. The discussion is designed to bring a greater understanding of the company’s works to the audience. It is free to all ticket holders.
