The Frostburg State University Department of Music will present Steve McKnight and Brian Plitnik performing a joint trumpet/trombone recital on Tuesday, March 14, at 8 p.m. at the FSU Performing Arts Center's Pealer Recital Hall. The performance, part of the FSU Music Department’s Faculty Artist Series, is free and open to the public.
McKnight is the trumpet instructor and director of Jazz Ensembles at FSU. He will be performing with pianist Kevin Clark, bassist Tony Depaolis and drummer Alex Peck.
Plitnik is the trombone/euphonium instructor and director of Brass Ensembles at FSU. Plitnik previously served as adjunct faculty at West Virginia University where he is now pursuing a Doctorate of Musical Arts degree in trombone performance. Plitnik will be accompanied by pianist Judy Brown.
