Frostburg State University’s University Programming Council invites everyone to a day filled with great food and awesome music at Spring Fest 2006. The fest begins on Saturday, May 6, at noon at the Upper Quad on the Frostburg State University campus. Events will run until 9 p.m. and in event of rain, the Fest will be moved to the Cordts Physical Education Center Main Arena.
Spring Fest 2006 will feature several bands, beginning with Catching Thieves, the winner of the UPC Battle of the Bands competition. Also featured in order will be Surviving Monday, Bad Apples, Parker House and Theory, DubNysus, The Burning Season, Downtown Singapore, June and Hot Rod Circuit.
Spring Fest will also hold activities and provide free snacks. From noon to 5 p.m. there will be free popcorn, cotton candy and snowcones. Other events include the Pi Lambda Phi Chili Cook-Off and Beer Garden (admission with valid ID), the Student Government Association Spring Olympics and human bowling, among others.
This full day of events will be provided by the University Programming Council, the Concert Commission, Pi Lambda Phi, SGA, BURG Peer Education Network, Black Student Alliance and FSU Dining Services.
