Frostburg State University's Division of Performing Arts – Music will present its annual Mother’s Day Concert by the Wind Ensemble under the direction of Noel T. Kunkle at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 14, in the Performing Arts Center's Pealer Recital Hall.
The concert is free and open to the public.
Featured works will include "Second Suite in F" by Gustav Holst; "Hoe Down" from “Rodeo” by Aaron Copeland and arranged by Mark Rogers; "Pineapple Poll," based on the music of Authur Sullivan, arranged by Charles Mackerras and arranged for military band by W.J. Duthoit; "The Fighting 99th Concert March" by William Camphouse, a piece honoring the Tuskegee Airmen; "October" by Eric Whitacre; and “Finale” from "The New World Symphony" by Antonin Dvorak, transcribed by Eric W.G. Leidzen.
