A panel discussion focusing on the 2006 elections will be held at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 24, in the Lane Center ARMAH.
Dr. Stephen Hartlaub of the political science department will be the moderator for the evening discussion. Panel members will include: University political science faculty member and FSU provost Dr. Stephen Simpson, who will talk about “Patterns in Opinion Polling”; Dr. Stephen Twing, will speak on “The Impact of Iraq on the Election and the Impact of the Election on Iraq”; Dr. Jacob Straus, whose topic will be “Hot Races: The Potential Undressing of the Republican Party”; and Tim Magrath, field representative for Sen. Paul Sarbanes and lecturer for the political science department, who will discuss the “Maryland 2006 Elections.”
This event is free and open to the public. The political science department, International Relations Club, the Politics, Law & Society Club and the J. Glenn Beall Institute for Public Affairs will sponsor the panel discussion.
