Have you heard of “A Chorus Line”? “The Producers”? “Damn Yankees”? “Kiss Me Kate”? “Cabaret”? “Thoroughly Modern Millie”? Selections from these hit Broadway musicals and more will be presented in “Bound for Broadway: A Musical Tour of that Famous Street” at 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 27, in the Pealer Recital Hall of the Performing Arts Center.
Music and theatre major Ryan Bowie and recent theatre graduate Coty Warn will take you on an energetic and historical tour of “that famous street.” With Betty Jane Phillips at the piano, Act I will feature songs from the “Golden Age” of Broadway through the 1960s and Act II will pick up with the 1970s and eventually land in the modern time of Broadway musicals. Join the cast for a fun-filled evening of song, dance and musical celebration that will make you want to be bound for Broadway.
This event is free and open to the public. Donations are welcome and will benefit the American Cancer Society. For additional information, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. See you on the tour!
