FSU Senior to Give Soprano Recital

Senior Autumn Monahan-Avila will give her senior recital at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 12, in the Pealer Recital Hall of the Performing Arts Center. This event is free and open to the public.

Monahan-Avila is a senior vocal performance major at Frostburg State University who has ties with the Delta Omicron, the Music Educators National Conference (MENC) and the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA). She will play selections from Mozart, Strauss, Walton, Puccini and Floyd. Her recital will be accompanied by Betty-Jane Phillips on the piano.

A native of Cumberland, Md., Monahan-Avila will graduate cum laude from FSU in the spring and hopes to continue on to graduate school in opera or pursue a teaching job.
