Frostburg State University President Jonathan Gibralter has named Dr. Thomas Bowling the new Vice President of Student and Educational Services. Bowling has filled the position in an interim capacity since late August of last year.
"Dr. Bowling has clearly demonstrated throughout his long career at FSU a strong commitment to the University, and particularly its students,” Gibralter said. “I feel confident that his history of integrity, honor and professionalism will serve him well as he leads the University-wide effort to support our students in the achievement of their academic goals."
Bowling has been employed at FSU since 1976. Prior to being appointed Interim Vice President, he served as Associate Vice President of the division for 22 years.
Dr. Bowling earned his bachelor of arts degree from Illinois State University, his master of education from Wayne State University and his Ph.D. from Florida State University.
“As we build and strengthen our new leadership team, I remain confident that by building upon its firm foundation for excellence, FSU is headed for an even brighter and more exciting future” Gibralter said.
