The Frostburg State University Center for Creative Writing, in conjunction with the Allegany Arts Council, is pleased to announce the third annual “A Date Night of Love Poetry and Literature of the Erotic” on Thursday, Feb. 15, 7:30 p.m. at the Saville Gallery in downtown Cumberland, 52 Baltimore St. This event is free and open to the public.
Writers, teachers, students and citizens of the surrounding area have enjoyed the tribute to Valentine’s Day, and we are positive that this year is no exception. Those who attend are sure to leave with a little flutter in their hearts and a little more sway in their step. You will laugh, you might cry and either way you are bound to have a good time.
Dr. Keith Schlegel, former chair of the Frostburg State University English Department, encourages the community to “Come listen, read, recite, enjoy the greatest love poetry, sacred and profane …”
Participants can sign up to read in advance by contacting the FSU Center for Creative Writing or on the spot the night of the event.
