A new chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma, the International Business Honors Society, was installed during the spring 2006 semester at Frostburg State University. Forty-four students—27 undergraduates and 17 graduate students—were inducted in the society’s first two semesters.
The FSU local chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma was established after the College of Business received Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International accreditation in 2005. Only AACSB accredited schools can have Beta Gamma Sigma chapters.
The new members of the FSU Chapter are Kimberly Blackmon, Sarah Bloss, Sherry Chungo, Sandra Clipp, Brittny Conner, Meghan Cornell, Christopher Evanoff, Samantha Farris, William Fink, Tate Hager, Nathan Hawthorne, Carol Hinchley, Stacy Holler, Dennis Iferd, Jerilyn Jackson, James Jenkins, Courtney Kamauf, Jodi Keefer, Steven Kersten, Michael Manalac, Matthew Martz, Michelle Mummert, Amber Riffe, Kyle Steele, Matthew Stephens, Stephen Valenta, Nicole Wigfield, Andrea Amezcua, Stephane Bastien, Harold Bitner Jr., Travis Bennett, Brenden Bosmans, Cynthia Bridges, Todd Cole, Crystal Ellis, Adrienne Everline, Daniel Filer, Kirk Fogle, Joseph Kennedy, Mark Lochbaum, Joann Petersen, Lisa Sanfilippo, Roy Turley and Margaret Waxter.
Among the many membership requirements, student’s cumulative G.P.A. must be in the top 10 percent of juniors, seniors and master’s students.
